Debate Challenge

Debate & Negotiation

Under the banner of 'Future Insights for Asia', Asian Square highlights debate and negotiation as the core competencies that will drive Asia's future. Beyond one-way instruction, we operate three tracks of debate programs where participants gain insights through real-world adversarial engagement.

TRACK 01

Havruta Lab

We have redesigned Havruta, the traditional Jewish debate method, to fit modern business and policy contexts. Through relentless questioning and stress-testing, participants deconstruct underlying structures and discover unprecedented business models and personal values in this innovative educational lab.

TRACK 02

Debate Lab

An arena for real-world debate addressing macroeconomic agendas such as international relations, Northeast Asian peace, and AI technology cooperation. Youth directly engage with domestic and international policy leaders and expert panels to identify vulnerabilities and refine strategies for national public policies or new corporate ventures.

TRACK 03

Asian Negotiation
Challenge

An international negotiation competition simulating acute conflict scenarios in multinational business environments, such as global trade disputes and corporate M&As. In partnership with academic institutions including the Korea National Diplomatic Academy, we cultivate field-ready negotiators to lead the global stage.

Havruta Lab

Asian Square tailors the Jewish Havruta debate method to Asian sensibilities, creating a forum for 'Problem Solving' across politics, economics, and society. In collaboration with Sun Moon University's International Institute of Regional Studies, we have organized the "CPC (Challenge for Politics and Economy)" and run the Havruta Lab program.

Havruta Club

An open community designed to apply the values established through the BQ, 3S, and Entrepreneurship courses to everyday life and ventures.

Havruta is a traditional Jewish educational method where partners engage in rigorous dialogue, questioning, and debate over texts, historically used to study doctrine and now applied as a robust analytical framework.

Havruta Club is an open Debate Club community that generates new ideas through Havruta dialogue. Starting from daily conversations to trending issues, members gain fresh insights through a continuous chain of rigorous questioning.
We debate global and contemporary problems across a wide array of topics—from everyday subjects to epochal issues—with peers, colleagues, and experts. It is a space to candidly share and listen to diverse perspectives.
In Havruta Club, finding a single "correct answer" is not the ultimate goal. We champion open debate that scrutinizes the validity of ideas—focusing on "why" and "how"—to explore multifaceted solutions grounded in core philosophies.
